Alur or Aloor a village in Umerga or Omerga taluka, District Usmanabad or Osmanabad.

This village has ancient temples of Lord Siva. Shanteshwar Temple, Sangameshwar Temple and Someshwar Temple are some of these.

Aloor is also famous for 'Payda' sweet made from milk. Aloor is situated 17 km from NH no 9 on akkalkot omerga road. It was the border village of Hyderabad Nizam state. It had a naka to collect taxes.

Culture: Due to Ex-Nizam state and Karnataka border most of the population is multilingual and can speak Marathi, Kannada and Hindi.

Education: Zila parishad High School till 10th Std.

Aloor is a Center of Sanskrit Education & Examination affiliated to Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Mumbai, this center was started by Late Sri. Shantappa Birajdar - Guruji, hundreds of students have successfully completed various level of Sanskrit courses, it has benefited young students in learning our cultural and mother language of all languages.

Health Care: Government hospital of more than 100 beds is the medical center for nearby villages as well.
